CONGRATS to our sister Soror Esence  “Sassy”  Dulce and Stephen Mauvaise! Esence gave birth to their handsom son on June 18, 2009. Antoine Amari Mauvaise was 7 lbs 2 oz. May the new eddition to your family bring many smiles to you and your family, and friends!!

Congrats goes out to our sister Soror Glimmer “Radiance” Forcella and her husband Seazare Dryke!!! The lovely couple had a beautiful celebration of their love on June the 16th. Your sisters of AOM, family and friends wish you the very best and a life time of love and happiness!!!

Also celebrating a union is our sister Esence Dulce and  Stephen Mauvaise. The couple wed on June the 17th. We also wish you a lifetime of love and happiness, from your friends, sorors and family.

Help Our Team in the Fight Against MS!!

The number of people living with multiple sclerosis increases every hour of every day. This astonishing rate is not going to slow down, let alone stop, until we’ve found a cure.  Research has made some incredible advances recently, but the world can still only offer disease management drugs and therapies to the 400,000 people living with MS in America.

Our team “AOM Walks For A Cure”, was founded inside a virtual world known as Second Life. Second life is a place where people can go online and escape from the everyday worries of the real world, have fun, attain a level of success not thought of to be achievable. When the founding ladies started Alpha Omega Mu Sorority, Inc., often referred to as AOM, inside this virtual world they envisioned it to be more than a group with a tag. They wanted their sorority to stand for something and represent women of all backgrounds. Somewhere they could unite and make a difference, whether it be in Second Life or real life. During the past year AOM has taken great strides in making that a reality.

Esence Dulce, whose avatar is played by Janet Price, President of Alpha Omega Mu Sorority, Inc., was diagnosed with an incurable disease called Multiple Sclerosis in 2005. Since then she has come to accept her diagnosis and uses her knowledge, experiences and kind heart to help others with the same issue. As a sisterhood, our goal is to help our Soror in making a difference in this world and the real world. There are millions of people diagnosed with this disorder every day, and if we can help even one person out of the millions, we will know that we have worked hard towards accomplishing our goal. Last year we raised $1000, which was 100% donated to her annual walk, and this year we hope to double that goal.

The National Multiple Sclerosis Society funds more MS research than any other private organization.  In addition to supporting studies which hope to reveal the cause and course of the disease, the National Multiple Sclerosis Society also provides much needed education, programs, and services to everyone who is affected by MS - including the diagnosed, their friends and families, and the health care professionals who work with them.

On April 18th Esence will do her real life walk in Richmond, VA but we will also be having one in Second Life. Join our team as a walker or a volunteer! Make a donation online!  Send in a check! The lovely ladies of AOM are at it again!! On Saturday, March 21st from 6pm-9pm slt AOM will be throwing a powerhouse event!! What kind of event you ask? It will be “BEST IN SWIMWEAR” with a 3.5k split to best male and female. Also there will be a swimwear fashion show along with a silent auction where items will be auctioned off with all proceeds (100%) going to the MS Foundation. And that isnt it!! Guess what MUD WRESTLING!! YES we said it MUD WRESTLING!! For a small donation of 100L’s get in the ring and mud wrestle and get down and dirty with cash prizes to the winners!! Last but not least for your entertainment, Dj Mr XXXclusive and Dj Sabien Cortes will be rockin’ the house!! This will be a packed house, you dont want to miss it!! Starting February 13th, 2009, our Second Annual MS Fundraising Drive will begin. There will be three months of events leading up to Esence’s real-life MS walk on April 18th. Our kick-off event for this fundraiser will be a formal Pre-Valentine’s Day Ball, including both a silent and win-a-date auction.

So what are we asking of you?

Our goal is a simple one: over those three months we hope to raise L$250,000, and you can help us reach that goal, if not more! We are looking for content creators that are willing to donate an item that can be sold either in the silent auction or in their stores during the three-month fundraiser. All proceeds will go towards the MS Foundation.

We also have a donation vendor available to set up in your stores, which will give ribbons out to donors. All sponsors will be listed in promotional advertising throughout the three months of events, including advertising on Oficialy X-clusive Radio.

On April 18th Esence Dulce will be participating in an MS walk-a-thon in Richmond, VA, and all proceeds raised during our campaign will be donated at that time.
